Rally Exceeds $2000 Mark - State Representatives and Mayor Bingham to Attend

The Raiders Rally for Torrington has exceeded $2000 in donations for local charities.  The event, taking place on May 31, is a school-wide effort to benefit the Torrington chapters of Susan B. Anthony, FISH/Friends in Service to Humanity, and Friendly Hands Food Bank.

State Representatives Michelle Cook and Kevin Witkos are planning to attend the event, as is Torrington Mayor Ryan Bingham.  After a 5:30 am pep rally, students who have raised pledges will participate in a variety of sponsored activities.  Student organizers are eager to show their support for the town.

Local businesses have been generous in donating money, supplies, and raffle prizes for the event.  See the sponsors page and the participants page for more details.  Contact Erin Sullivan - esullivan@torrington.org - to volunteer or lend support.
